OMRRA Round #1 - April 11, 2009

Justin Watkins:
9th - 600 Supersport
4th - 600 Superbike

Tamer Kekhia:
6th - 600 Supersport
5th - 600 Superbike


FNB Racing kicked off the 2009 racing season with strong finishes at the first round of the Oregon Motorcycle Roadracing Association championship series.    Justin and Tamer had their kawasaki's working well and the SDS built engines were rocketships all weekend.  Leading up to the weekend was a bit frustrating for the team as their motors were still being built, due to races in Jan/Feb with WERA West they were late getting to the builder at the busiest time of the year.  Justin and Tamer continued their team riding (as some call it) and shadowed each other in both races, until Justin made a slight mistake in 600SB, dropping him back a few spots.  They were riding great but had to slowely watch the lead pack inch away.  Hopefully they can find that extra second to run with the leaders as the season progresses.  In the end, it all worked out and the bikes ran great and the team will head to the next round, ready to backup their strong finishes.
